Violence Against Women and Girls

Our client challenge and requirement:

The safety of everyone in our country, wherever they are and whoever they are, is a driving passion and concern for the Crimewave team and our partner clients. Certain crimes disproportionately affect women and girls, manifest themselves in different ways, and demand targeted solutions. Every day, women and girls have bad experiences at school, at work, on buses and trains, on the street, and even at home. And this is a crime which is growing in our communities.

In this particular incident case, we positioned our camera in a known hot spot for violence at the instruction of our Thames Valley client, with an objective to deter and reduce violent incidents in this particular location as well as deliver successful prosecutions.

Our process and service solution provision:

On receipt of a report to Police that a female had been assaulted in this area, we viewed the images from a Thames Valley Police camera accessed from our intelligence platform. Our team identified the incident, and the offender who had punched the female victim to the floor. We then completed a detailed evidence pack and safely transferred it to the OIC.
